Challenge
Sea Life Val d'Europe sought to address the need for a highly engaging and scientifically accurate educational installation that would captivate visitors of all ages, foster deeper understanding of marine life, and highlight global ocean conservation efforts. The solution needed to fit within the physical constraints of the aquarium, offer robust interactivity, and accommodate diverse international audiences through multimedia and tactile engagement.
Results
Following the deployment of the interactive sphere, Sea Life Val d'Europe observed a marked increase in visitor interaction time, higher levels of engagement with marine conservation content, and enhanced international accessibility. The tactile, multi-user interface and multimedia features supported deeper learning, while the integration of global mapping and branding strengthened the aquarium's educational mission and visitor experience.
Key Product
ORA +
What I love is how the sphere connects the real marine life with rich digital content. We’ve been able to integrate themes like climate awareness, the difference between penguins and auks, the habitats of ducks, the deep-sea world, and the work of the Sea Life Foundation. Visitors don’t just watch: they explore, learn, and understand how everything is connected.

About Sea life
Sea Life Val d'Europe is an aquarium dedicated to marine conservation and public education, offering visitors immersive experiences that highlight ocean biodiversity and environmental challenges. The Challenge
Prior to the installation of the interactive sphere, Sea Life Val d'Europe was looking for innovative ways to elevate its educational exhibits and engage an increasingly diverse visitor base. Traditional displays, while informative, often struggled to hold the attention of both children and adults, limiting opportunities for meaningful learning about marine biodiversity, conservation challenges, and global oceanography. Additionally, any new solution needed to be space-efficient, robust for public use, and adaptable to multiple languages and learning styles.
The Solution
After a thorough review of immersive technologies and interactive exhibit options, Sea Life Val d'Europe selected the 60 cm diameter digital sphere with integrated touch capability. The decision was driven by the sphere's ability to combine 360° high-resolution projection, capacitive multi-touch technology, and a rich multimedia content including animated marine species, environmental stories, interactive world maps, and branded aquarium visuals. The tactile interface allowed visitors to interact directly with the sphere, explore detailed species information, and participate in conservation-themed quizzes.
The installation process was streamlined to integrate seamlessly with the aquarium's environment and branding, ensuring a turnkey deployment for immediate visitor impact.
The Results
Since the installation of the interactive sphere, Sea Life Val d'Europe has recorded significant improvements in both quantitative and qualitative engagement metrics. Visitor interaction time at the exhibit doubled, reflecting the compelling draw of the tactile, multi-user interface and dynamic content.
The sphere's global mapping and multilingual features enabled the aquarium to connect with audiences from over five countries and to showcase more than 20 marine species, including penguins and sea ducks, in an accessible, interactive format.
The aquarium's branding on the welcome screen reinforced institutional identity, while interactive videos and quizzes deepened conservation awareness. These results demonstrate the sphere's success as a catalyst for immersive marine education and international visitor engagement.
